Immigration Services

Merseyside Law Centre Immigration illustration

We have a new immigration service and can advise and represent clients in asylum and domestic abuse cases with legal aid. We have some other funding which means we can take on some cases which do not fall within legal aid such as long residence and cases based on family life in the UK. We will prioritise homeless, vulnerable, or destitute individuals or families. We are a team of two – a solicitor and a trainee solicitor so our capacity is limited.

!

We are not currently taking on any new immigration or asylum cases due to high demand for our services. There will be updates on this service so please check our website regularly.

We can help with

Asylum applications and appeals where we have dealt with the initial application

Victims/ survivors of domestic abuse

Indefinite Leave to Remain (settlement) applications for
refugees

We can't help with

Points based system (students, skilled workers, entrepreneurs etc)

Naturalisation (British citizenship for adults)

Out of country cases –

ie refugee family reunion and

entry clearance
